2017 Scholarship Winners

Dr Susan Downes (WA) and Dr Cathy Davis (QLD) are the winners of the 2017 Unconventional Volunteering Scholarship. In February they will be spending 2 weeks working at the Uluru Health Care Centre on the east coast of Southern India.

The clinic provides medical services to about 40,000 local villagers. The female patients of the area have especially asked for women doctors. Both Susan and Cathy are experienced in women’s health and obstetrics and we are sure they will make a really valuable contribution to the community. They will be meeting up with our doctors attending the Southern India conference to share their experiences.
