Advice from the Australian Federation of Travel Agents

Our conferences are planned 12-18 months in advance for the following reasons:

  • To secure bookings at hotels and venues
  • To allow time to secure keynote speakers
  • To allow our delegates to schedule the time in their busy calendars
  • To allow flights to be booked as soon as they become available
  • To ensure time for our staff to organise the detailed lecture and travel programs

For this reason, we will continue to plan and open registrations for conferences in 2021 despite current concerns.

As a registered Australian travel agency, Unconventional Conventions holds clients’ funds in a trust account in accordance with the industry standards and guidelines. All funds received for the Serengeti 2021 conference will be held in the trust account until the situation is further assessed, and deemed by Unconventional Conventions to be safe to proceed. At this point, you will be given the option to cancel and receive a full refund or to proceed with the event.

By registering now for the Serengeti 2021 conference, you can secure your place on the conference, plan your schedule for 2021, and receive an early bird discount of $500 off per person*. You will also have the peace of mind that a full refund will be offered. This allows both you and Unconventional Conventions to continue planning for 2021.

Unconventional Conventions has been running conferences for the past 40 years and this year will be running the 100th Unconventional Conventions conference. We have continued to operate through many situations like this and plan to continue operating well into the future.

*Registrations received prior to 15 April 2020 will be offered the opportunity for a full refund and receive a $500 per person early bird discount.
